Caleb Merritt
Caleb started as a second-year apprentice with a Boise commercial contractor in 2007. By 2012 he had his journeyman card and had run crews on multi-family projects across the Treasure Valley. He earned his master license the following year and launched Beacon Electric to focus exclusively on residential service — a segment he felt deserved better than it was getting.
His rule from day one: every job gets a permit when one is required, every invoice matches the estimate, and every crew member carries an active Idaho license. Eleven years in, that hasn’t changed.
Today Beacon runs five licensed electricians across Boise, Meridian, Nampa, and Eagle. Caleb still takes diagnostic calls personally on jobs he hasn’t visited, and stays on-site for every panel upgrade.

Every technician on our crew holds an active Idaho journeyman or master electrician license. We don't use unlicensed helpers on residential work. Idaho license #IEL-M-28847 is on file with the Division of Building Safety — you can look it up.
No mystery pricing.
You get a written estimate before we schedule. The estimate is the price — not a starting point for negotiation after the work is open. The $89 service call is credited to whatever repair follows, not added on top.
