Frequently asked questions
Questions homeowners ask before they call.
Eight of the most common questions about landscaping, lawn care, and maintenance in the Raleigh area — answered directly.
How much does lawn care cost in Raleigh, NC?
For most single-family lots in Raleigh, routine lawn maintenance runs $79–$120 per visit depending on lot size. A standard 0.25-acre residential property lands around $89. Prices vary by the amount of edging, slope, and any obstacle work involved. We provide a fixed per-visit rate in writing before the first service — no range, no estimate that changes on invoice.
What's included in a spring cleanup?
Our spring cleanup covers full debris removal from turf and beds, bed re-edging, removal of any winter-killed plant material, and a property condition report. Mulch installation is a separate line item but can be bundled in the same visit. Most cleanups are completed in 2–4 hours and scheduled within 5 business days of booking.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — every estimate is free with no obligation. For maintenance plans and smaller services, we usually quote over the phone or by email after you share your address and lot size. For landscape design, irrigation installs, and larger projects we schedule a short on-site walkthrough before pricing. Either way, you get an itemized written quote before anything is scheduled.
How often should I fertilize my lawn in North Carolina?
NC State Extension recommends 4 fertilizer applications per year for fescue lawns in Wake County: a spring kickoff in March, a summer stress formula in June, a recovery application in August, and a pre-winter winterizer in October. Bermuda and zoysia warm-season lawns follow a different calendar. Our 4-application program covers all scheduling and application — $289 for the full year.
What areas of Raleigh and the Triangle do you serve?
We serve Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Morrisville, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Our North Raleigh depot covers the 27609, 27612, 27614, and 27615 zip codes. Our Wake Forest location covers northern Wake County and southern Granville County. If you’re outside these areas, call us — we’ve taken on projects across the Triangle when scheduling permits.
Do you offer annual maintenance contracts?
Our maintenance plans run month-to-month — no annual contract required. Bronze starts at $89/month and covers weekly lawn maintenance. Silver ($149/month) adds spring cleanup, fall leaf removal, and the 4-application fertilizer program. Gold ($229/month) adds annual mulch refresh, priority scheduling, and two seasonal property walkthroughs. Upgrade or cancel any month.
Can you design and install a new landscape from scratch?
Yes. Our design-install service starts with a paid on-site consultation ($150, applied to your project cost). We develop a plant layout, select NC-appropriate species, and handle all installation with our own crew — no subcontractors. Projects start at $1,200 for smaller renovations and scale by square footage and plant density. All installs include a 1-year plant replacement warranty.
When should I schedule fall leaf removal in Raleigh?
In Wake County, peak leaf fall runs from late October through mid-November. We recommend scheduling your first removal for the first week of November, with a follow-up visit in late November to capture the second drop. Single-visit service starts at $199; our November recurring package (3 scheduled visits) runs $449. Book by October 15 to guarantee a November slot — crews fill fast.
