Do you take reservations at Olive & Ember?
Yes. Reservations are recommended, especially for Thursday through Saturday evenings. Reserve online through our contact form or call (555) 014-8230. Same-week tables are often available Tuesday and Wednesday. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability — check with the host when you arrive.
What kind of food does Olive & Ember serve?
Olive & Ember serves wood-fired Mediterranean cuisine — small plates, open-hearth mains, and seasonal boards. The menu draws from Italian, Spanish, Moroccan, and Levantine traditions using ingredients from twelve Oregon and Washington farm partners. Every main course passes through the wood-fired hearth. The menu rotates every eight weeks.
How much does dinner at Olive & Ember cost?
Small plates start at $14 and most run $14–$22. Wood-fired mains range from $26 to $44. A shared dinner for two with a glass of wine typically runs $80–$120 before tip. On Sunday evenings we offer a seasonal three-course prix fixe at $58 per person.
Do you have vegetarian or vegan options?
Yes. Several small plates are vegetarian or can be adjusted — the Mezze Board, Charred Broccolini, and Burrata are popular choices. The Vegetable Shawarma is our wood-fired vegan main. Tell your server about any dietary restrictions and we will guide you through the menu. Gluten-free and dairy-free adjustments are available on many dishes.
Is there parking near Olive & Ember on SE Division?
Street parking is available on SE Division and adjacent side streets, particularly in the evenings. The area is well-served by TriMet bus lines 4 and 66, and the 14 runs on nearby Hawthorne. Bike parking is available in front of the restaurant. We do not have a private lot.
Can I book a private event or group dinner at Olive & Ember?
Yes. The Ember Room accommodates up to 20 guests for private dining and is available on Monday evenings for full buyouts. We offer customized set menus for private events. For groups larger than 8 on regular service nights, please call ahead so we can hold an appropriate section.
What are Olive & Ember's hours?
We are open Tuesday through Thursday 5:00–10:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 5:00–11:00 pm, and Sunday 4:00–9:00 pm. We are closed on Mondays. The kitchen accepts last orders one hour before close. The bar stays open until close.
Is Olive & Ember good for special occasions?
Yes — anniversaries, birthdays, and milestone dinners are common here. Mention the occasion when you reserve and we will coordinate with the kitchen. For larger celebrations, the Ember Room offers a private setting with a set menu. We do not do birthday cakes but our pastry team can arrange a dessert course.
